The Telangana Assembly was filled with chaos when the Komatireddy brothers interrupted G Jagadish Reddy’s speech about the White Paper on the Power Sector. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy accused Jagadish Reddy of making Rs 10,000 crores from the Yadadri power project. The two ministers exchanged allegations, with Venkat Reddy claiming that power supply was only 8 to 12 hours in a sub-station in Bandasomaram. Log books were seized from substations in Nalgonda district for investigation. Venkat Reddy further alleged that there was a massive scam in the Yadadri power station, with Jagadish Reddy pocketing Rs 10,000 crores. He also welcomed a judicial probe into the power projects. The remarks caused pandemonium in the house and led to protests from the opposition MLAs. Jagadish Reddy and Rajgopal Reddy defended themselves against the allegations and engaged in a heated exchange with the ministers. Former speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy called for decorum, and Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar ruled to remove some of the allegations from the record.
