India heavily depends on crude oil imports for petrol and diesel, which is why crude prices play a significant role in determining petrol and diesel rates. However, other factors such as rising demand, government taxes, rupee-dollar depreciation and refinery concept ratio also impact domestic fuel prices.
It’s important to note that the fuel prices mentioned above are due at 6 am and are subject to change at any time as the petroleum companies such as Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) will alter the fuel prices based on the crude oil prices.
To summarize, petrol and diesel prices in major cities in India remained stable today, but they are subject to change at any time due to various factors mentioned above.
