The upcoming sports policy focuses on long-term growth. The large-scale Sports Conclave will include experts and representatives from various sports federations nationwide to ensure the policy is implemented effectively. Minister Srihari is confident this policy will bring a new era to Telangana’s sports, enhancing opportunities for athletes and improving the state’s reputation nationally and internationally. The policy aims to find and nurture rural talent, turning local potential into global champions.
Shiv Sena Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Sports Authority, stated that the new policy would significantly expand the Authority’s responsibilities. It will promote broader sports programs by coordinating with different departments, support athletes, and allow the Authority to provide comprehensive assistance to the sports community. He also mentioned that the Authority organized numerous national and international events last year, and this momentum will continue with increased enthusiasm.
