Hyderabad: An eight-year-old boy named Ritvik was attacked by a group of stray dogs in Annapurna Nagar, Amberpet. He was flying kites near the Musi River in the Golnaka division when the incident happened.

Witnesses saw about five dogs attack Ritvik, causing deep wounds and heavy bleeding. He was quickly taken to the Government Fever Hospital in Nallakunta. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, he was later moved to Osmania General Hospital for advanced treatment.

This incident underscores a rising safety issue in the city. Last week, AIMIM Floor Leader Akbaruddin Owaisi addressed the Telangana Assembly, expressing concerns that the number of stray dogs in Hyderabad is almost equal to the human population.
