Strict Action Warned to Liquor Smugglers in Karimnagar

The District Excise Superintendent of Karimnagar, P Srinivasa Rao, has warned that anyone caught selling or transporting illegal or non-duty paid liquor in the district will face strict action. He recently reviewed measures to control the sale of illegal alcohol with officials.

Srinivasa Rao stressed that the possession, sale, or transport of illegal or non-duty paid liquor in Karimnagar district will result in a case being registered and strict action taken. He also warned that even a single bottle of liquor brought from other states like Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, or Haryana will lead to appropriate legal action.

The Superintendent further stated that parcel and transport owners, motorists, and drivers supplying illegal liquor will be charged. Organizers of unlicensed parties and function halls will also face strict action. Private travel buses and RTC buses carrying liquor from other states will not be exempted from the law.

To prevent the illegal sale of liquor, surprise raids are being conducted while constant surveillance is maintained by officials from the police, excise, and enforcement departments. The meeting was attended by Assistant Excise Superintendent Manemma, Urban CI Tathaji, DTF CI Chandramohan, Rural CI Tirumalatha, Timmapur CI Indra Prasad, SIs, and others.
