The vote counting in the Dharmapuri election is facing a problem. A special officer from the Election Commission has arrived to investigate the missing keys of the strong room at JNTU in Kondagattu. The officer will submit a report to the court after conducting an inquiry into the happenings since 2018. Congress candidate Adluri Lakshman Kumar alleged that irregularities occurred in the vote counting, and the court has directed the returning officer to submit details of polling in EVMs and counting forms.

The district collector tried to open the strong room on April 10, but two keys were missing, and the locks were not opening. Kumar opposed breaking the locks, and the district administration couldn’t open them. The court has ordered an investigation into the matter, and a report should be submitted by April 26.
