The State government in Hyderabad is preparing to launch the second phase of a subsidy scheme for minorities. The Telangana Minority Finance Corporation will provide Rs 1 lakh to each of the 14,300 applicants. The government has allocated Rs 153 crore for this phase and has instructed District Collectors and District Minority Welfare officers to ensure the scheme is implemented properly.
In the first phase, the government distributed cheques of Rs 1 lakh each to 10,000 minority beneficiaries on August 19. It also provided subsidies to about 120 eligible persons from each assembly constituency.
Imtiaz Ishaq, the chairman of the Minority Finance Corporation, stated that a plan is in place for the release of the second phase funds in September. Once the funds are received from the government, they will be quickly disbursed to the beneficiaries, with all necessary preparations already made.
