A bench of Justices Arvind Kumar and Sandeep Mehta declined to get involved in the Andhra Pradesh High Court’s decision to dismiss the YSRCP’s writ petition against the Election Commission’s postal ballots order.

The YSRCP then filed a Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court against the High Court’s order, with Senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi representing them. Other senior advocates like Adinarayana, Siddhartha Luthra, Ravi Teja Padiri, and Javvaji Sharath also appeared for the petitioners.

Velagapudi Ramakrishna from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had already filed a caveat. The Supreme Court also turned down a request from Chevireddy Mohitreddy of YSRCP for a repoll in four booths in the Chandragiri constituency.
