Warangal, a district in Telangana, is facing a series of question paper leaks during examinations. The latest incident occurred during the SSC examinations, where the Hindi question paper was leaked in Kamalapur boys high school on Tuesday. The question paper was circulated on a WhatsApp group, causing concern among students and parents. The police conducted a preliminary investigation and found that the question paper appeared on WhatsApp at 10.47 am, while the exam had already commenced at 9.30 am. The Commissioner of Police, A V Ranganath, stated that a former electronic media reporter, who is now associated with a political party, obtained the question paper. However, he denied it was a leak and referred to it as a lapse. Later in the day, he revealed that a 16-year-old student named Shiva climbed onto a tree close to a window on the third floor of the examination hall, took the question paper from one Harish, and took a photo of it. Shiva then forwarded the photo to Shiva Ganesh, who was in a WhatsApp group of SSC group with 31 members at 9.50 am. The news of the leak broke around 10.45 am. The police stated that Shiva had done this to help his friend and that it cannot be called a leak. However, educationists argue that if the question paper comes out of the centre before the exam concludes, it is considered a leak. Warangal District Collector P Pravinya stated that there was no code on the question paper, and Hanumakonda DEO Md. Abdul Hai reported that they had lodged a complaint with the Warangal Commissioner of Police.
