    Synchrony, a consumer financial services company, partnered with the Sainik Welfare Department in Telangana to organize a health checkup drive for ex-servicemen in celebration of Independence Day. The drive took place at 7 centers of Vijaya Diagnostic across the state from August 16th to August 31st, 2023, and provided health assessments for 555 veterans and their spouses. The initiative was inaugurated by Colonel P Ramesh Kumar (Retd.), Director of the Department of Sainik Welfare in the Telangana government.

    Synchrony’s Veterans Network, along with NGO partner ASSIST and the Sainik Welfare Department, sponsored the health checkups in various locations throughout Telangana. The goal was to raise awareness about the health and wellness of ex-servicemen and their families.

    Kameswari Gangadharabhatla, Vice President of Human Resources – Asia Diversity & Recruitment COE Leader, expressed pride in partnering with the Sainik Welfare Department for this initiative. She emphasized Synchrony’s commitment to veterans and their families and the company’s goal of making a meaningful impact on their lives through partnerships like this.

    Since 2016, Synchrony’s Veterans Network has been dedicated to community initiatives supporting veterans and their families. The company has contributed medical equipment to Military Hospital in Secunderabad and supported the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme Polyclinic-Secunderabad with essential infrastructure. Synchrony also provides volunteer support for various veteran welfare activities and sponsors training programs at Queen Mary’s Technical Institute in Pune.
