Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has requested for clarifications on the TSRTC Bill from the Government. The Governor has examined the provisions in the TSRTC Bill of 2023 and has expressed the need for specific clarifications and answers to ambiguities. A communication was sent to the State Government from Raj Bhavan regarding this matter.
The Governor’s request for clarification is in the best interests of both the TSRTC employees and the State. An official statement stated, “Immediate reply with the said clarifications is hereby solicited to facilitate the Hon’ble Governor to take an informed decision on the bill.”
On August 2, the State Government sent the RTC merger with government bill to the Governor. The Governor has made it clear that she will seek legal opinion before giving her consent. Tamilisai will make a decision on the RTC bill once the government responds to the clarifications sought.
