The Tarnaka flyover will not be open for vehicles starting June 6, 2025. A trial reopening on April 18, 2025, aimed to see if it could help traffic flow between Osmania University and Lalapet. However, the Hyderabad traffic alert showed that keeping it open caused serious congestion and safety issues.

The Hyderabad police carried out detailed studies during this trial. They used traffic simulations, drone evaluations, and commuter feedback. The findings revealed that keeping the junction open increased traffic jams and accident risks. Officials decided that closing the junction would make the roads safer and improve traffic flow.

Commuters are advised to find other routes to avoid travel issues. The traffic advisory suggests that using alternative paths during peak times will lead to smoother travel. Travelers should be prepared for possible traffic on nearby roads due to this closure.
