    Palla Srinivas Rao is the new State president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh. He takes over from Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, who resigned to take on a ministerial role in Chandrababu’s cabinet.

    After Atchannaidu stepped down, Chandrababu appointed Rao as the leader of AP TDP. Rao, who won big in the recent Andhra Pradesh assembly election from the Gajuwaka constituency, now leads the party with the biggest majority in the state.
