    Gadwal: The Telangana Government has approved ₹121.92 crores to build a High-Level Road Bridge (HLRB) over the Krishna River, located downstream of the Priyadarshini Jurala Project. This new bridge will link Revulapally in Dharur Mandal, Jogulamba Gadwal District, with Nandimalla in Amarchinta Mandal, Wanaparthy District. The Transport, Roads & Buildings Department issued an official order (G.O.Rt.No.292) on July 1, 2025, granting the administrative go-ahead for this project.

    The news has brought joy to the Gadwal constituency, particularly among farmers and local leaders, who have long awaited better river connectivity.

    Ministers Acknowledged for Their Commitment

    Smt. Sarithamma, Congress Gadwal Constituency In-Charge, expressed deep gratitude to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, District In-Charge Minister Damodar Narasimha, District Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Vakiti Srihari, and MP Mallu Ravi. She praised their dedication and quick action in addressing this long-standing issue by issuing the order soon after inspecting the project area.

    Sarithamma noted that during a recent visit to the Jurala Project, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy promised the issuance of the Government Order for the bridge. He kept his promise, with the order being promptly released, marking the commencement of this vital infrastructure project.

    In a statement from the Congress Party Camp Office in Gadwal, Sarithamma thanked the government on behalf of the constituency’s people and farmers, viewing this as a crucial step for regional development.

    MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy Thanks State Leaders

    Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy also offered heartfelt thanks to the state leadership. He expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, District In-Charge Minister Damodar Narasimha, Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Vakiti Srihari, and MP Mallu Ravi, representing the farmers and residents of Gadwal.

    He highlighted that the bridge will connect remote villages on either side of the Krishna River, enhancing transportation, agricultural logistics, and emergency response, especially during flooding or monsoon times.

    A Bridge for Growth and Connectivity

    The approved High-Level Road Bridge will improve travel between Jogulamba Gadwal and Wanaparthy districts, boosting socio-economic progress in the area. Once finished, the bridge will reduce dependence on longer routes or temporary crossings, benefiting farmers, traders, and students.

    This project aligns with the Telangana Government’s goal of enhancing rural infrastructure and connectivity. The Chief Engineer (R&B) State Roads & CRN, Hyderabad, has been tasked with creating detailed construction estimates for further action.

    This initiative is celebrated as a significant victory for the Gadwal constituency, meeting a long-held demand that promises to improve both access and prosperity in the region.
