Hyderabad: The BRS office, Telangana Bhavan, is set to undergo changes as the party leadership plans to revamp its organisation. The goal is to use the office space more effectively for the full-time activities of affiliated units like women’s groups, trade unions, and students.

Currently, the BRS office near Banjara Hills also houses the party’s media outlet, T-News. Most of the party’s activities take place on the ground floor. This floor includes the office of the party chief, K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), a meeting room for important leaders, a press conference hall, and a large meeting room. There’s also space for the party’s organisation secretary and a room for media personnel.

However, party leaders have noted that there is no proper space for the affiliated organisations or even for the Greater Hyderabad wing of the party. They often have to use the press conference hall or the large meeting room, which is not ideal. A senior party leader mentioned the need for dedicated areas for these groups.

Plans are in place to shift T-News and make better use of the upper floors of the building. The new arrangement would place party president KCR’s chambers on the second floor, while his old office on the ground floor would be given to working president KT Rama Rao. Additionally, the press conference hall is set to be expanded, as it becomes overcrowded during events featuring KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao.

Party leaders also revealed that KCR is expected to resume party activities after Sankranti. He aims to reorganize the party by forming new committees and affiliated units once the membership drive is completed. By the next plenary session in April, KCR plans to have all the committees in place.

The renovation plans are ready and awaiting KCR’s approval. Once he gives the green light, the renovation work will begin, according to party sources.
