The event aims to raise awareness about biodiversity and the threats it faces. This year’s theme was “From Agreement to Action: Build Back Biodiversity,” focusing on implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Diversity Framework and its targets.

Dr Rajat Kumar spoke at the event, stating that it’s everyone’s responsibility to conserve biodiversity, and we shouldn’t rely solely on the government to initiate action. The board released a book called “Agrobiodiversity of Telangana” on genetic resources of agri-horticultural crops.
