MLA Duddilla Sridhar Babu visited a paddy procurement center in Manthani Municipality’s agricultural market yard on Tuesday. He talked to the farmers there and found out they were sad that the government had only made promises to buy their grain damaged by untimely rain. The MLA alleged that contractors threatened farmers and refused to transport the grain. He demanded that kantas be established to help the farmers and prevent them from being exploited.
