The Telangana BJP unit has congratulated Smt. Rekha Gupta on becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi. Chief Spokesperson K Krishna Sagar Rao expressed happiness over this milestone, as it marks the BJP’s return to power in Delhi after 27 years. The last time the party formed a government in the national capital was in 1998.
Smt. Rekha Gupta’s appointment is also historic because she is the only woman Chief Minister to take office during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term. The Telangana BJP praised her journey, saying it reflects the party’s dedication to leadership development and empowerment. She has risen from being a dedicated party worker (Karyakartha) to becoming the Chief Minister.
The Telangana BJP also highlighted that the people of Delhi have given the BJP a clear mandate, trusting the party to govern the city. They expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Smt. Rekha Gupta will fulfill her promises and work for the betterment of the people.
