Telangana CM KCR closely monitors rainfall situation until midnight

The State government in Telangana is on alert due to heavy rains. Chief Minister KCR has been monitoring the situation and has advised ministers, public representatives, and authorities to protect people and prevent loss of life. The CM has instructed ministers to ensure immediate treatment for any accidents and to evacuate flooded areas.

Ministers and public representatives have visited flooded areas in Khammam and Warangal districts to provide relief operations. The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has warned of heavy rains in the city and surrounding areas, with a possibility of very fast showers. There may be flooding, traffic problems, and disruptions to electricity and water supplies.

Light to moderate rains have been occurring in Hyderabad since Tuesday, and heavy rains are predicted for Tuesday evening. There have been reports of lightning strikes in some areas of the city. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Telangana, predicting heavy to very heavy rains for the next three days.
