    Telangana Declares January 1, 2025, as Public Holiday

    The Telangana government has announced that January 1, 2025, will be a public holiday across the state. This decision has been made to allow citizens to celebrate New Year’s Day.

    On this day, all schools and government offices will remain closed. People can enjoy the occasion with their families and friends without any official obligations.

    However, essential services like police, medical and health departments, and energy providers will continue to operate. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has also been instructed to monitor public activities to ensure safety and smooth operations during the celebrations.
