Finance Minister Harish Rao has instructed officials to pay the unpaid bills to sugarcane farmers who supplied Trident Sugar Factory in Sangareddy district. The factory owes Rs. 12.05 crores to the farmers. Harish Rao expressed frustration that the factory owner had promised to pay by June 25 but hasn’t done so yet. He also told officials to pay the outstanding dues to employees promptly.

Harish Rao warned that if the factory doesn’t pay the bills on time, their properties will be auctioned off to pay the farmers. He also threatened to cancel their license and remove them from the zone if they continue to be negligent. The minister requested a timeline for payment from the factory management in writing.
