Prof Papi Reddy has complained about the delay in recruiting teaching faculty and the lack of funds for academic and research activities. Efforts to collaborate with foreign universities have also been unsuccessful due to lack of government interest and funding. Other teaching faculty members from Osmania University and Kakatiya University have also criticized the state of higher education in Telangana.
