    Telangana has increased the price of beer by 15%. This is the first time the price has gone up since 2020. The new prices will take effect starting today.

    A case of beer will now cost Rs 45-50 more. If the tax on beer remains unchanged, the overall price increase might be around 3-4%.

    Despite the price hike, experts believe it will not reduce beer sales. United Breweries Limited (UBL), the company that produces beer, is expected to earn an extra Rs 170-190 crore.

    For the next year, UBL’s earnings are expected to grow by 18-20%. Additionally, the company’s profit margin may also improve.
