The Telangana government has announced a significant reshuffle of IAS officers, affecting key administrative positions at both the state secretariat and district levels. The transfers include changes in crucial departments and the appointment of new collectors in 12 districts across the state. The move comes as part of routine administrative reorganization aimed at improving governance and efficiency.

In a notable development, Arvind Kumar has been moved out from the Disaster Management department without being assigned a new posting. This transfer comes amid an ongoing probe into the Formula E race controversy. Meanwhile, E. Sridhar has been appointed as the new Irrigation secretary, while N. Sridhar takes charge of Industries and IT departments. These appointments are expected to bring fresh perspectives to these critical sectors.

Other significant transfers at the secretariat level include Rahul Bojja, who has been shifted to GAD (Political), a key administrative position. Sanjay Kumar has been assigned multiple portfolios including Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, and Rural Sanitation and Agriculture Development. These changes indicate the government’s focus on strengthening rural development initiatives and political coordination mechanisms.

The district-level reshuffle has seen new collectors appointed across various regions. Mahabubabad will now be headed by Sneha Shabarish (2017 batch), while Anuraag Jayanti (2015 batch) takes charge of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri. Sandeep Kumar Jha (2014 batch) has been posted to Jangaon, and Rizwanbasha Shaik (2017 batch) will serve as the collector of Jogulamba Gadwal. Prateek Jain (2017 batch) has been assigned to Narayanpet district.

Among the 2019 batch officers, several have been given district collector responsibilities. Chitra Mishra will head Karimnagar, while Garima Agrawal takes charge of Rajanna Sircilla. Deepak Tewari has been posted to Vikarabad, and Pratima Singh will serve as Medak collector. Ankit has been assigned to Bhadradri Kothagudem, Chahat Bajpai to Hanamkonda, and Khushboo Gupta to Mahabubnagar district.

The transfers reflect a mix of experienced and relatively junior officers being entrusted with district administration responsibilities. The appointments span officers from the 2014 to 2019 batches, indicating a balanced approach to administrative deployment. The government has not yet announced the full list of outgoing collectors or provided detailed reasons for individual transfers beyond routine administrative requirements.
