Hyderabad: The Telangana Minorities Welfare Department has invited applications for the Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme – Spring Season 2026, offering financial assistance to eligible minority students pursuing higher education in leading foreign universities.
According to an official press note issued by the Office of the Commissioner, Minorities Welfare Department, applications for the Spring Season 2026 scholarship will be accepted from June 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026.
Scholarship Support Up to Rs 20 Lakh
Under the scheme, selected students will be eligible for financial assistance of up to Rs 20 lakh towards their overseas education. In addition, beneficiaries will receive a one-way airfare reimbursement up to Rs 60,000, or the actual ticket cost, whichever is lower.
The scheme is aimed at supporting minority students pursuing Postgraduate, Doctoral, and Ph.D. programs at recognized foreign universities.

Students who have secured admission in universities located in the following countries can apply under the scheme:
- United States (USA)
- United Kingdom (UK)
- Australia
- Canada
- Singapore
- Germany
- South Korea
- Japan
- France
- New Zealand
Application Schedule
The Minorities Welfare Department announced that applications will be received online between:
- Application Start Date: June 1, 2026
- Application Closing Date: June 30, 2026
- Last Date & Time: June 30, 2026, up to 5:00 PM
Who Can Apply?
The Spring Season 2026 notification is applicable to minority students who have secured admissions in eligible foreign universities during the period between January 1, 2026, and June 30, 2026.
Students pursuing higher education in approved institutions abroad under the prescribed eligibility criteria can submit their applications through the designated portal.
Mandatory Documents
The department has instructed applicants to submit their original graduation or post-graduation transcripts issued by their respective universities or colleges.
Parents of the applicants are also required to be present personally while submitting files at the offices of the concerned District Minorities Welfare Officers (DMWOs).
Verification Process
Officials stated that all applications and certificates will undergo detailed verification. Strict action will be taken against applicants found submitting false or fabricated documents.
The department warned that if any fictitious certificates are detected during verification, appropriate criminal proceedings will be initiated against the individuals concerned.
