Hyderabad – The Telangana Tourism Drone Day continues at Gachibowli Stadium with high-octane drone racing competitions and aerial displays scheduled for January 16 and 17. The event showcases advanced drone technology and competitive racing formats, attracting participants and spectators from across the region.
Today’s evening schedule from 5:00 PM onwards features multiple competitive events designed for prime-time viewing. The Drone Racing Qualifier Rounds are set to begin at 5:30 PM, followed by Drone Soccer Semi-Finals at 6:00 PM. The evening will culminate with the Apex Challenge Drone Race at 7:15 PM and an RC Plane Airshow featuring aerobatic aircraft displays from 7:45 PM to 8:30 PM.
The seeding races and qualifier rounds will determine which competitors advance to tomorrow’s finals. The Apex Challenge represents one of the most technically demanding events, featuring professional pilots navigating high-speed courses with precision timing and control.
Tomorrow’s schedule on January 17 begins with Drone Racing Heats from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, comprising Race 1 through Race 13. The morning sessions will narrow down the field of competitors for the evening’s championship rounds.
The Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Sri Jupally Krishna Rao, is expected to visit the venue between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM tomorrow. His visit coincides with the Marathon Drone Race Finals scheduled from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, allowing the minister to witness the competitive events firsthand.
The final evening session on January 17 includes the RC Plane Airshow and Drone Soccer Finals from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by the Drone Race Grand Finals (Race 14) at 8:00 PM. These championship rounds will determine the overall winners across multiple categories.
The Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution begins at 8:30 PM, with Minister Jupally Krishna Rao presenting awards to winning competitors. The ceremony will recognize achievements across all competition categories, including drone racing, drone soccer, and aerial display performances.
