Shamshabad, Telangana:
Jishnudev Varma, the new Governor of Telangana, arrived at Shamshabad Airport on Wednesday. He was warmly welcomed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, DGP Jitender, and other senior officials. Varma arrived from Tripura for his new role.
At the airport, the armed forces honored the new Governor with a salute. This event marked Varma’s transition from being the former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura to the fourth Governor of Telangana, a newly formed state.
The oath-taking ceremony for Jishnudev Varma is scheduled for 5:30 PM today. High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradeh will administer the oath. Distinguished guests expected to attend the ceremony include Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, leaders from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Leader of Opposition KCR, various opposition party leaders, and Union Ministers.
Varma’s appointment comes at an important time as Telangana continues to develop its governance structure.
