A major confrontation broke out at the camp office of Kamareddy BJP MLA on Monday when Congress leaders attempted to storm the premises following a heated exchange over land grabbing allegations. The incident led to violent clashes between BJP workers and Congress activists, escalating tensions in the area and requiring police intervention.
The controversy began when Shabir Ali publicly accused BJP MLA Venkataramana Reddy of illegally grabbing lands in the region. In response to these serious allegations, Venkataramana Reddy issued an open challenge to Shabir Ali, daring him to come for a face-to-face discussion if he had the courage to substantiate his claims.
Accepting the challenge issued by the BJP MLA, Congress leader and former sarpanch Giri Reddy Mahender Reddy arrived at the camp office along with several other Congress leaders and party workers. The group intended to confront Venkataramana Reddy directly regarding the land grabbing accusations leveled against him.
As the Congress leaders and activists approached the premises, BJP workers stationed at the location moved quickly to block their entry. The situation rapidly deteriorated as both groups confronted each other, leading to heated arguments and physical altercations between the rival party supporters.
The confrontation took a violent turn when BJP workers allegedly attacked the vehicle belonging to former sarpanch Mahender Reddy. In a dramatic escalation, the attackers reportedly overturned the car, causing significant damage to the vehicle and intensifying the already volatile situation at the scene.
As the clashes spiraled out of control, local police forces arrived at the camp office to restore order and prevent further violence. The police took Congress leader Mahender Reddy into custody as part of their efforts to control the deteriorating law and order situation in Kamareddy.
