The Finance Commissions of Telangana and Karnataka met to strengthen local body institutions. Telangana State Finance Commission Chairman Sirisilla Rajaiah and Karnataka State Finance Commission Chairman YM D Samella and RS Pandey discussed developing mutual understanding for the local institutions. They met at the State Finance Commission office in Erramanzil Colony to examine the performance and financial status of these institutions.
The Karnataka Finance Commission explained the workings of local body institutions in Karnataka and decisions for financial support. Telangana also shared measures for economic empowerment and the working patterns of local organizations. Representatives discussed steps to improve the functioning of local organizations in both states.
State Finance Commission members Sankepalli Sudhir Reddy, Maloth Nehru Naik, M Ramesh, and member secretary Smita Sabharwal were present at the meeting.
