    A cabinet sub-committee was formed to address GO 317 and has now allowed employees to choose their local status on a website. The committee met at the Secretariat and made important decisions, including giving employees the option to select their local status on the website from June 14 to 30. Spouses of Central government employees were also given this option.

    Employees were allowed to submit multiple applications, and those who applied online received receipts. So far, 12,011 applications have been received through the website, with the opportunity for re-verification. Once employees apply online, they will receive updates on their application status via their cell phones.

    The committee meeting was attended by committee chairman State Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha, State Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, state government officials Sivashankar and Raghunandan Rao, as well as GAD officials.
