Hyderabad: The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) has honored Telangana State with the IESA Industry Excellence Award 2025 for its leadership in battery manufacturing.
The award was presented at the 11th India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2025 held at the Yashobhoomi Convention & Expo Centre in New Delhi on Wednesday. State IT and Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu stated, “This award shows Telangana’s leading role in building a strong environment for battery production and new energy innovations in India.”
In recent years, Telangana has become a key player in advanced energy manufacturing. This growth is supported by forward-thinking industrial policies, developed infrastructure, and a focus on innovation. Policies like the Telangana EV and Energy Storage Policy and Telangana Renewable Energy Policy have helped establish industrial clusters. These efforts make Telangana attractive for investments in battery manufacturing, EV assembly, and component supply.
The minister also mentioned, “Telangana is at the forefront of India’s clean energy initiative. We are committed to advancing renewable energy use, improving battery manufacturing, and enhancing green mobility infrastructure. This commitment drives the nation towards a sustainable and energy-resilient future.”
