The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) and the Commissioner of Collegiate Education (CCE) have introduced a Special Spot Admission round on the Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) platform for the academic year 2025–26. This move ensures no higher education seats remain empty.

TGCHE Chairman Prof Balakista Reddy shared that this effort, managed by the TGCHE and CCE, seeks to fill vacancies in government, university, private aided, unaided, and autonomous degree colleges.

Spot admissions will occur in two phases. The first phase, on September 15–16, targets Government Degree Colleges, Private Aided Colleges (Regular Courses), and Private Aided Autonomous Colleges. These institutions must upload admitted students’ data on the DOST portal by September 17.

The second phase, named the “One-Time Special Spot Admission Round,” takes place on September 18–19 for all institution types. Local candidates receive priority, with remaining seats available to non-local candidates. Colleges are required to upload final admission data by September 20. The DOST website offers detailed vacancies by college, course, and category at https://dost.cgg.gov.in. Candidates should reach out to college principals for guidance and verification steps.
