The Saidabad police in Hyderabad fired a warning shot into the air on Sunday night to catch a mobile phone snatcher. This was the second time in three days that a police officer had to fire a shot to apprehend a criminal.
The suspect, Aamir, is known for snatching mobile phones and gold chains from people in the Saidabad and Saroornagar areas. A special patrol team in plainclothes spotted him acting suspiciously at Sankeshwar Bazar Road.
When Aamir tried to run away upon seeing the police approaching, an officer fired a shot from his service weapon. Despite his attempt to escape, the police managed to catch Aamir and take him into custody. He is currently being interrogated by the authorities.
