Hyderabad: On Sunday night, about 50 laptops were reportedly stolen from the CR Rao Institute at the University of Hyderabad. The incident came to light when the police shared details on Tuesday, February 10.
The suspects allegedly entered the building by removing a grill window. These laptops, valued at over Rs 10 lakh, were on rent and had arrived on February 6 for student practicals.
Authorities have filed a case under sections 331 (house-trespass or house-breaking) and 305 (theft) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Gachibowli Police Station. The investigation is ongoing to find those responsible for the theft.
