Parts of Hyderabad’s Old City are facing a water crisis before summer even starts. Residents are already rationing water and relying on tankers for supply. Public representatives protested at the Circle Water Board offices for more water.

Despite promises from the State government for uninterrupted drinking water supply, Old City areas have had irregular water supply for three months. Residents like Mohammed Ahmed are unhappy with the reduced supply time and low pressure. They want the board to provide more water and increase pressure.

Residents in areas like Hussain Alam, Ghazi Banda, and Shamsheergunj have been struggling with a shortage of drinking water. Some, like Venkatesh in Lal Darwaza, have had to buy water from outside sources because of the scarcity. Despite complaints to HMWSSB, the issue remains unresolved.
