The temporary road on Jampanna river in Kondai, Mulugu district has turned into a muddy mess due to the heavy rains in the area. As a result, traffic has come to a halt. The contractor who was responsible for the road work had been paid Rs 20 lakh but did a poor job by only pouring mud and calling it a road. When it rained, the road became completely swampy, making it impossible for vehicles to pass through. The villagers are furious with the authorities for allowing such shoddy construction work to take place. They are also upset about a previous incident where a bridge was washed away in floods due to poor construction.
