Panic has gripped villages near Basireddypally in Pargi mandal, Vikarabad district, after a tiger reportedly entered a cowshed near the Krishna Giri Kshetra temple and attacked cattle.
A cow died after suffering severe injuries to its neck and abdomen. Caretakers said the tiger fled after one of them raised an alarm.
Caretakers also said a calf was carried away by the tiger three days earlier. The tiger’s movements were reportedly captured by CCTV cameras at a nearby farmhouse.

The cowshed has around 200 cattle. Local residents are urging authorities to capture the tiger and relocate it to a forest area.
