Arekapudi Gandhi, the Serilingampally MLA and Telangana Assembly Public Accounts Committee chairman, has denied having any connection with the affairs of Sahiti InfraTech. His statement follows reports of an Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid linked to the organisation. Details of the reported searches were not included in his statement.
Gandhi said he paid Rs 2.1 crore to the organisation in 2018 through his bank account to buy office space. He said the organisation could not allot the space and returned the full amount to his account.
He said the payment and refund were made through banking channels and were transparent. Gandhi added that he would submit bank transaction records and other required documents.
“I request people not to believe the misinformation being spread without knowing the full facts,” Gandhi said. He added that he hoped all the facts would come out during the inquiry.
