Despite authorities intervening to stop the dumping of debris, it is believed that the activity continues at various locations around the fort. This has raised questions about the effectiveness of monitoring mechanisms in place to protect the monument.
Congress leader Osman Al Hajri has also raised concerns about the fort walls being encroached upon by land sharks allegedly backed by local politicians. The deteriorating condition of Golconda Fort’s Faseel and other structures highlights the urgent need for preservation efforts to safeguard this historic site.
