The University Grants Commission (UGC) is launching a new website on Monday to make it easier to use and provide better information. The changes are in line with NEP-2020 to improve higher education. The website has been designed to help different users, like students, faculty and universities, find the information they need more easily. The home page includes key initiatives, student and faculty corners, and information about different types of universities. Users can also find details about UGC bureaus and contact information for officials.

The UGC is also launching a new portal called UTSAH (Undertaking Transformative Strategies and Actions in Higher Education). The portal will provide detailed information about UGC initiatives for improving higher education. It will also track progress in areas like learner-centric education, digital learning, and academic research. The UGC hopes the launch of this portal will help improve the quality of higher education in the country.

In addition, a Professors of Practice (PoP) portal will be launched to connect academic institutions with experts in various fields. This is part of the NEP’s aim to bring skilled professionals into higher education. The PoP portal will allow experts to register their experience and expertise, and institutions can advertise vacancies and engage with them.

Overall, these new initiatives are designed to make higher education in India more accessible, equitable, inclusive and of higher quality.
