The state Cabinet in Hyderabad will meet on Monday after the Election Commission of India gave conditional approval. The Cabinet can only discuss urgent issues, as directed by the Commission. Some topics like farmers’ loan waiver and repairs on the Medigadda project have been deferred until after the Lok Sabha elections. However, the government has requested to discuss the NDSA interim report for repair work before the monsoon season.

The Election Commission instructed that officials involved in conducting elections should not be invited to the Cabinet meeting before June 4. Therefore, the Cabinet is expected to focus on pressing matters such as paddy procurement, crop damage due to rains, compensation for affected farmers, and resolving water scarcity during summer. Other topics like power supply, education infrastructure, and state formation day celebrations are likely to be discussed as well.
