Tolichowki Police Station in Hyderabad has successfully detected a murder case and apprehended three accused persons, including two women, on December 16, 2025. The case was registered as Cr. No. 279/2025 under sections 103(1), 190, and 191(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The victim, Mohammed Irfan, a 23-year-old auto driver and resident of Tolichowki, was fatally stabbed during a confrontation. His father, Mohammed Moulana, aged 65 years, lodged the complaint with the police.
The arrested accused have been identified as Shaik Bilal (A-1), the main assaulter, along with Sana Begum (A-3) and Ruhi Begum (A-4). A fourth accused, Mohd Naveed (A-2), a 22-year-old auto driver from Qazi Galli, Golconda, remains absconding.
According to the complaint received by Tolichowki Police on December 15, 2025, the incident occurred on December 14, 2025. Accused Shaik Bilal, accompanied by his family members, visited Mohammed Moulana’s house and alleged that his son Mohammed Adnaan had spread rumours about Bilal’s wife.
Since Adnaan was not present at home during that time, heated arguments broke out with other family members. The situation escalated when Shaik Bilal, along with his brother-in-law Mohd Naveed, his wife Sana Begum, and cousin sister Ruhi Begum, proceeded to the auto stand near Marwa Dental Hospital to search for Adnaan.
Sensing potential danger, Mohammed Irfan, who is Adnaan’s brother, followed the group along with his friends to the auto stand. Another confrontation ensued at the location, during which Shaik Bilal suddenly attacked Mohammed Irfan with a knife, stabbing him in the chest and causing fatal injuries.
The critically injured Mohammed Irfan was immediately rushed to Olive Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. Following this tragic incident, the police registered a case and launched an investigation.
Acting swiftly on the case, police teams arrested three accused persons on December 16, 2025, at Afsar Khan Colony in Golconda. During the arrests, authorities seized crucial evidence including a blood-stained knife and clothing worn by the accused at the time of the crime.
The investigation is being conducted under the direct supervision of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Tolichowki Division, and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South West Zone. Police teams are currently conducting searches to apprehend the absconding accused, Mohd Naveed.
The case highlights a dispute that originated from alleged rumour-mongering and escalated into a fatal confrontation. The swift action by Tolichowki Police resulted in the arrest of three accused within 24 hours of the crime.
Further investigation is currently in progress as authorities work to apprehend the remaining accused and gather additional evidence to strengthen the case for prosecution.
