Heavy rains recently damaged crops, say local traders, leading to a sharp increase in prices. The continuous rainfall has reduced crop yields, causing a supply shortage and driving up prices across Telangana.
People are now searching for alternatives to tomatoes, though many consider them essential for home cooking.
