Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief Mahesh Kumar Goud praised the state government’s decision to introduce a 42% reservation for Backward Classes (BCs), calling it a historic step. He credited this achievement to Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, highlighting the party’s dedication to social justice for BC communities.
Goud questioned the involvement of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Kavitha in the BC reservation issue. “What role does Kavitha play in BC reservations? Why is she claiming credit for our success?” he asked, noting that the public finds her claims questionable. He stated that Kavitha’s comments regarding the contributions of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) over the last decade are baseless. The BC reservation initiative, he insisted, is driven by Rahul Gandhi and reflects the unwavering commitment of Revanth Reddy and the Congress party to support the BC community.
