Traffic Advisory Issued by Police for Balkampet Yellamma Kalyanam Event

The Hyderabad traffic police issued a traffic advisory for the Balkampet Yellamma Kalyanam at Yellamma Pochamma Devasthanam, Balkampet. The event will take place from July 8 to 10. A large number of devotees are expected to attend the Kalyanotsavam on July 9 and the Rathotsavam on July 10, leading to moderate traffic congestion in and around Yellamma Temple, Balkampet.

To avoid this congestion, the police recommended that commuters take alternative routes and avoid traveling towards Balkampet Yellamma Temple. Traffic diversions will be in place for various roads to help manage the flow of vehicles. For example, motorists coming from Greenlands, Matha Temple, and Satyam Theatre heading towards Fateh Nagar will be redirected at SR Nagar T Junction towards SR Nagar Community Hall, Abilasha Towers, B K Guda X Road, then towards Sriram Nagar X Road and Sanath Nagar/Fateh Nagar Road.

Motorists coming from the Fateh Nagar flyover and heading towards Balkampet will be diverted at the New Bridge towards Katta Mysamma Temple in Begumpet. Similarly, traffic coming from Greenlands – Bakul Apartments – Food World will be diverted at Food World X roads towards Sonabai Temple, Satyam Theatre, Maithrivanam/SR Nagar T Junction.

Bylanes and link roads from SR Nagar ‘T’ Junction to Fateh Nagar will be closed during this time. Devotees attending the event are advised to park their vehicles at designated locations such as the R & B Office near SR Nagar T Junction, GHMC Ground near Food World X Road, Padma Shree to Nature Cure Hospital Roadside parking, Nature Cure Hospital Parking, and parking under Fateh Nagar Railway bridge.
