Traffic Limits Set for Bonalu Festival in Hyderabad

Joel Davis, the Joint Commissioner of Hyderabad City Traffic, has announced traffic changes near the Lal Darwaza Temple to aid devotees during the Bonalu festival. These changes will be in place on July 20th and 21st.

On the 21st, during the Simha Vahini Mahankali event, the area around the temple will be closed to regular vehicles from 11 AM to 11 PM.

Traffic from Injanbowli and Falaknuma heading to Aliabad will be rerouted from New Shamsherganj to Goshala and Misrigunj. Vehicles going from Mahbubnagar Crossroad to Aliabad will be redirected from Injanbowli to Jamanuma and Goshala. Those coming from Nagulachinta and Sudhatakees towards Lal Darwaza will head to Gaulipura instead. Traffic from Charminar to Nallachinta will be diverted to Haribouli and Olga Hotel.

Further diversions will be applied as necessary to ensure smooth festival celebrations, according to Commissioner Davis.
