Hyderabad will experience several traffic changes on Tuesday, May 13, due to the 72nd Miss World 2025 Heritage Walk near Charminar and a welcome dinner at Chowmahalla Palace.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police announced that roads around these key locations will be partially or fully closed to vehicles from 2 PM to 11 PM. These closures aim to ensure safety and smooth flow during the high-profile events.
Traffic will be restricted on roads connecting:
– Madina to Charminar
– Charminar to Shalibanda
– Shalibanda (Rajesh Medical Hall) to Volga Junction
– Volga Junction to Moosabowli via Khilwat Road
Vehicles will not be allowed to pass through these areas during the restricted hours.
Here’s how traffic will be redirected:
– From Nayapool to Charminar: Vehicles will be rerouted at Madina Junction toward City College.
– From Nagulchintha and Shalibanda: Traffic will be diverted at Himmatpura Junction toward Hari Bowli, then to Volga Junction and Fateh Darwaza Road.
– At Volga Junction: No entry toward Chowmahalla Palace from Himmatpura. Vehicles will instead move through Fateh Darwaza, and vice versa.
– From Puranapool (Goodwill Café): No access to Charminar or Chowmahalla Palace. Traffic will be sent via Moosabowli, then toward City College and Fateh Darwaza through Doodbowli.
– From Chowk Maidan Kaman: Vehicles heading to Charminar must turn toward Kotla Aliza or Moghalpura.
– From Etebar Chowk to Gulzar House: Diversion will take traffic to Mandi Miralam Market or Bibi Bazar.
– From Mitti Ka Sher: No access to Gulzar House. Vehicles will be rerouted via Ghansi Bazaar to reach High Court Road.
– From APAT side toward Charminar: Diversions will occur at Lakkad Kote toward the Old CP Office Lane or Mirlam Mandi Market, depending on the need.
These changes affect public transport as well:
– RTC city buses heading to Charminar will stop at Afzalgunj.
– Buses from Falaknuma will be diverted at Shamsheergunj toward Tadban.
– District buses traveling via Nayapool and Madina from MGBS (Imlibun) will take an alternate path: Chaderghat Rotary → Nalgonda Crossroads → Chanchalguda → Saidabad → IS Sadan → DMRL → Midhani → MBNR Flyover → Bandlaguda → Aramghar.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police urged all commuters to plan their travel accordingly and use alternate routes. They also encouraged the public to stay updated through official social media channels:

In case of travel emergencies, citizens can call the traffic helpline at 9010203626 for assistance.
The police request everyone’s cooperation to ensure the smooth conduct of the international event and to minimize public inconvenience.
