In a tragic incident, tribal villagers from Kondaparthi, located in the Gantyada mandal of Vizianagaram district, had to carry a deceased man’s body for seven kilometers on foot. This was because there were no proper roads or transport facilities available in the area.

The deceased man, identified as Raja Rao, had been receiving treatment at a hospital, where he unfortunately passed away.

With no roads or even boats to help them, the villagers tied Raja Rao’s body to a bamboo pole and carried it all the way back to their village. This difficult journey highlighted the lack of basic infrastructure in the region, making it hard for the family and the community to carry out the final rites properly.
