In Kothagudem, despite the state’s progress, the lives of tribal communities remain unchanged. On Sunday, a tribal family from Umeshchandranagar in Pinapaka mandal faced a tough situation. They struggled to get a pregnant woman, Janaki, to a hospital.
Janaki felt severe pain in her lower abdomen. Her husband, Sammaiah, called for an ambulance. Unfortunately, the vehicle could not reach their home and stopped about 3 km away due to poor road conditions.
As Janaki’s pain worsened, her family improvised a stretcher and carried her to the ambulance. The ambulance then took her to Manuguru Government Hospital. After receiving initial treatment, she was transferred to Bhadrachalam Hospital for delivery because of anemia. According to Dr. Shruti from Janampeta, Janaki is now in stable condition.
