On Tuesday, MLC Kuchukulla Damodar Reddy and Nagar Kurnool District Collector Badavath Santosh paid tributes to Prof. Kothapalli Jayashankar. They garlanded his portrait at the Nagar Kurnool District Collectorate during the 90th birth anniversary celebrations.
MLC Damodar Reddy praised Prof. Jayashankar for his important role in promoting the Telangana ideology. He recalled how Prof. Jayashankar inspired people, especially students and youth, to actively join the Telangana movement in 1969 and later periods.
District Collector Santosh spoke about Prof. Jayashankar’s continuous efforts to awaken and mobilize the public for achieving statehood for Telangana. He mentioned that the government is officially organizing these celebrations to honor his contributions. Santosh also emphasized the need for collective efforts from all sectors to fulfill Jayashankar’s dreams.
Various community leaders and district officials also took part in the celebrations. They praised the services and legacy of Prof. Jayashankar.
